Q: Something that I have been thinking about lately is an adjustment to the ranking algorithm to adjust for artificially close games. In track and field, for example, there is a rule that results are ignored for records purposes if the tail wind is above a certain threshold. Is there room in the algorithm to say that if the wind is above a certain amount and the score differential is within a certain point, it is ignored? Seeing teams that should not be playing a close game finishing with an 8-7 score is something that causes weird bid situations every year.
