The top two seeds in Pool B in the women’s division had a lot in common. Both had starpower, with Ohio State’s Sadie Jezierski and UC Santa Barbara’s Julia Kwasnick spending plenty of time matched up against each other. Both had top players who had tremendous years next their bigger names: Audrey Brown and Kaitlyn Weaver of UCSB, Cara Sieber and Emily Barrett for Ohio State. Both were challenged by the wind, and both felt like could win the pool and reach the semifinals. While both could, only one would.
