BLAINE, Minn. — Three former National champions took home 2019 US Open titles this weekend at the National Sports Center just north of Minneapolis.

Boston Brute Squad defeated Colombia Revolution 15-13 to win their second straight US Open in the Women’s Division, Seattle Sockeye beat out New York PoNY 15-12 to win their second US Open title in the Men’s Division, and the hometown favorites Minneapolis Drag’N Thrust topped Seattle Mixtape 14-13 to win their first-ever US Open.

For Drag’N, it was a hard-earned victory — they had reached at least the semifinals in every US Open since the inaugural event in 2012, and they started the game down 5-0 after a disastrous start.

Check back on Ultiworld for continuing recap coverage of each of the finals and the tournament.
