With ultimate still on its pandemic-induced hiatus, our “Stall 9” column is an opportunity for Ultiworld staff members to share random opinions or reflections on what they’re thinking about or miss most from the sport. Just as is the case when the stall count reaches 9, anything goes.
Even in the golden age of streaming video, the amazing still images captured every year by photographers at UltiPhotos and elsewhere hold a special place in our sport. But this piece isn’t about the photos that illustrate ultimate’s grandest moments as much as it is about the images that stuck in our memories along the way. Here, Ultiworld staff members chose a few of those photos and wrote about why they matter to us, whether they speak to collective experiences or personal ones.
