For those who have not been to Nationals in person, there are few events in our community that can match the camaraderie and celebration seen at the College Championships. For everyone following along at home, there is only so much that can be seen on the Ultiworld livestreams, and many viewers supplement their Nationals-following experience with a scroll through Twitter.
But don’t worry if you aren’t on the bird app or missed some of the action. Just as we did through the first three days of the tournament, we’re back to roundup of some of the best tweets we saw during the final day of competition from Milwaukee.
Minutes after winning a national championship, Worth was on her way to the airport while scheduled to perform a surgery the next morning. If winning a Callahan Award and two national championships over the past two years was not enough, Worth is literally saving lives in the process.
Tracy Matthews is a UNC parent. This list of accomplishments the UNC men’s team has accomplished is remarkably impressive.
Texas TUFF is taking the common college approach of ‘focusing on ourselves’ and ignoring outcome goals to measure success.
Jimmy Mickle is John Randolph’s teammate on the club team New York PoNY. Randolph did Mickle a favor by losing the college championship, but we’re not unconvinced that Mickle wasn’t scheming up ways to lose this fall’s club championship in order to protect his legacy.
The UCSB Burning Skirts are focused on their steady improvement as they build towards future success.
Brown lost the D-I men’s final to UNC. Perhaps the extra pair of cleats may have been the difference needed to overcome the five-point deficit. Akshat Rajan is an ultimate videographer and photographer.
The D-I men’s final ended up being a fairly tame affair; perhaps a race between Brown’s John Randolph and UNC alum Alex Davis would be closer. Based on Davis’ track record in races this weekend, it’s very likely UNC would take home another dub.
At least they weren’t chanting “it’s break time for MagnUM,” the most stolen cheer of the tournament. Jessie Sun is a player on Pittsburgh Danger.
