Notes

  • First off, congratulations to #3 Arlington and #12 East Chapel Hill for claiming the final two spots to the High School National Invite! Arlington took down #4 Lakeside en route to a PVI title and have had a dominant season. Their lone loss to Strath Haven looks like more of a blip than a trend, and they’ve jumped back into the high end of the rankings. East Chapel Hill rode solid spring results along with a fall North Carolina championship to their bid.
  • #2 JR Masterman was the class of the Pennsylvania State Championships, even as #16 Pennsbury played some of their best ultimate of the season and made the final, defeating the slightly higher ranked Strath Haven in semis. Pennsbury had a very up-and-down year with some marquee wins and some tough losses. It seems fitting that they end up back in the top 25 after a strong finish at states.
  • Edina topped OWL in the Minnesota State Championships, bumping them back into the top 10. And #21 Andover debuts in the rankings after beating Washburn, an HSNI auto-qualifier, at States.
  • Each of the top 15 ranked teams is headed to HSNI, along with Neuqua Knockout auto-qualifiers #22 Washburn.

Notes

  • #2 South Eugene dominated #3 Summit in the final of Oregon States to reclaim the top challenger status to undefeated #1 Roosevelt.
  • Only small upsets altered the path of Washington States, where ultimately Roosevelt topped #5 Garfield in the final. #7 Nathan Hale and #10 Ingraham both bowed out in semis.
  • #21 Hopkins makes their top 25 debut after taking down #25 Edina in the Minnesota State semis. Hopkins faces off against #13 Washburn in the final tonight under the lights.
  • #22 Madison popped back into the rankings after stunning #23 Alexandria City 11-6 in the Virginia State final. Madison isn’t losing a single senior in 2026, so look out for them in next year’s top 25.
  • 15 of the top 17 ranked teams are headed to HSNI along with Alexandria, who had looked like the best team in Virginia for most of the season and earned a strength bid after Spring Fling.

Looking Ahead

HSNI is just over a week away! Pools and schedules are available now — while the seeding mostly follows the rankings, there are adjustments made for regional balance and rematch/in-state avoidance.

Three games per round will be streamed throughout pool play, prequarters, and quarters. All four semis and both finals will be streamed. The full broadcast schedule will be out later this week!
