Seeding, Pools Announced For D-I College Championships

USA Ultimate announced the seeding and pools for the D-I College Championships today. Colorado and Ohio State took the #1 overall seed in the Men's and Women's Division, respectively. Check out the full seeding and pools inside.

USA Ultimate announced the seeding and pools for both Men’s and Women’s divisions at the College Championships today. The top seeds in each division were as expected, with Colorado, Pittsburgh and Texas claiming the top three seeds in the Men’s division and Ohio State, Oregon, and Central Florida taking the top seeds on the Women’s side.

The biggest story may be North Carolina Darkside — a Nationals favorite all season long — grabbing the 6 seed after losing to North Carolina Wilmington Seamen (who comes into the Championships as the 5 seed) at Atlantic Coast regionals. Ultworld predicted that the Seamen were a possible overall 8 seed and Darkside might slide into the 9 slot, but some expected UNC-W to land as high as four overall.

The big loser from the North Carolina bump? Harvard, who could have gone as high as 4 overall, is now seeded 8th and will face Colorado in pool play.

Other notables include a generous number six seed for Carleton Syzygy and an overall four seed for Oregon Ego.
