July 16, 2020 by Charlie Eisenhood in Podcast with 0 comments
Sideline Talk is Ultiworld’s subscriber-only podcast about the people and personalities of ultimate. Charlie Eisenhood hosts long form, in-depth interviews with marquee figures in the sport.
Anne Watson is a long-time ultimate coach and organizer that led the charge to make ultimate a varsity sport in the state of Vermont (she’s also the mayor of Montpelier, the state capital). Vermont is the first and only state that has granted ultimate varsity status. Watson stops by Sideline Talk to discuss the pros and cons of the varsity effort and what they’ve learned so far through multiple years of provisional and, as of 2019, full varsity status. We also discuss the growth of ultimate in Vermont and around the country. Don’t miss it!
