D-I Women’s
Conference Results
The last Conference Championship in the division took place this weekend. #14 Utah Spiral Jetty went undefeated, allowing ten goals across four games, to win the Big Sky Conference Championship. Montana, Montana State, and Utah State also advanced to Northwest Regionals.
Mea Culpa – Last Week’s Developmental Conference Championship Results
Last week when I went through the USA Ultimate calendar, I accidentally filtered out all of the Developmental Conference Championships and as such, those results did not make it into last week’s update. With a much quieter schedule this week, we have plenty of space to report the following results from April 12-13:
- North Carolina B Electra went undefeated to win the Atlantic Coast Developmental Conference Championship and take the sole bid to D-I Regionals.
- Vermont B and Brown B qualified from the New England Developmental Conference Championships to Regionals. Vermont B won their head-to-head matchup once on each day of the tournament, but Brown B beat the rest of the field to qualify.
- UC San Diego B Berserk Coalition took the lone bid from the Southwest Developmental Conference Championship to Regionals with an undefeated weekend and a three point win over Cal Poly SLO B in the final.
Looking Ahead
Every region except the Northwest is playing their Regional tournaments this weekend (Northwest Regionals take place the following weekend). The full schedule can be found by clicking here.
D-I Men’s
Conference Results
- Utah Valley Ultimate won the Big Sky Conference Championship. #7 BYU CHI went undefeated on Saturday before bowing out of the competition. Utah State, Utah, and Montana State also advanced to Northwest Regionals.
- #4 Oregon Ego took home the Cascadia Conference Championship title. Matching 15-10 wins over #10 Washington Sundodgers and #8 Oregon State Beavers in the semifinal and final respectively proved the key wins. #21 UBC Thunderbirds were the other semifinalists. Those four teams all move on to Northwest Regionals alongside #20 Victoria Vikes, #17 Western Washington Dirt, UBC B, and Washington B.
- Temple Alert won all six of their games to win the East Penn Conference Championship. Lehigh, West Chester, and Pennsylvania advanced to Ohio Valley Regionals as well.
- Connecticut B Grind went undefeated and won the Metro East Dev Conference Championship and a bid to Metro East Regionals.
- Georgia Tech B beat Georgia B 15-9 to win the Southeast Dev Conference Championship, though neither team ranked high enough in the regular season to earn a bid to Southeast Regionals.
- Delaware B went undefeated through pool play to win the Colonial Dev Conference Championship. After going winless in pool play, Georgetown B went undefeated in the bracket to clinch second place. Those two along with George Washington B and Maryland B all earned their places at Atlantic Coast Dev Regionals – the only Developmental regional event in the country in any division.
- Michigan B went undefeated to win the Great Lakes Dev Conference Championship. Illinois B won the second place game, and both teams qualified to play at Great Lakes Regionals. Pour one out for Mighigan State B who lost both games to go.
- Vermont B Dhill won the New England Dev Conference Championship. There was some excitement farther down the bracket, where Northeastern C “CHuskies” beat Northeastern B in the second place semifinals. Both of them advanced to New England Regionals along with UMass B. First, hats off to the New England Men’s Developmental Conference for having four teams finish high enough in the regular season rankings to qualify for Regionals, and kudos to the Northeastern program for sending three teams to Regionals!
- Wisconsin B Fauxdags beat Minnesota B1 12-11 to win the North Central Dev Conference Championship. They gave up just five goals in their other four games! Minnesota B recovered to take second place. Minnesota State-Mankato2 and Minnesota C finished third and fourth respectively-all qualified for North Central Regionals.
- Penn State B Love Tap beat Pittsburgh B Bitt 14-12 to win the Ohio Valley Dev Conference Championship, avenging a 13-11 loss in pool play a day earlier. Both teams qualified for Ohio Valley Regionals.
- NC State B SixPack upset North Carolina B BatCH 9-8 to win the Southern Atlantic Coast Dev Conference Championship. Both teams advanced to Atlantic Coast Dev Regionals alongside Virginia Tech B and Virginia B.
- Cal Poly SLO B SLOB went undefeated to win the Southwest Dev Conference Championship. UCLA B will join them at Southwest Regionals after finishing second.

Nationals Qualifiers
#22 Claremont Braineaters will be going to Nationals. They won the Southwest Conference Championship by going undefeated through a three team round robin. A 14-11 win over Occidental Detox was the closest result of the tournament.
Joining them will be #6 Whitman Sweets, who won the Northwest Conference Championship, and #5 Lewis & Clark Bacchus, who took down #20 Puget Sound Postmen in the game-to-go. Whitman upset Lewis & Clark 12-10 in the championship game, but Bacchus rebounded nicely with a 15-11 win in the game-to-go.
