Some late season tournaments and state championships are continuing to shake up the rankings.

The 2019 High School National Invite field has been finalized: the Boys’ Division is full up with 16 teams and the Girls’ Division will feature nine teams. It’s another incredible field!

Notes

  • Lots of movement in the bottom half of the rankings as there were upsets galore at State Championships! Milford knocked off Holy Family Catholic in Ohio, South Eugene beat out Summit in Oregon, Yorktown shocked Washington-Lee in Virginia state semis, and Four Rivers topped Lexington before losing to Amherst in Massachusetts.
  • Proper due is now given to Minnesota’s Mounds View after their strong spring league season, including a couple of wins over Hopkins. Hopkins has dropped precipitously after a brilliant showing at Paideia Cup. Can they bounce back in this weekend’s Minnesota state championships?

Notes

  • Results in the Washington State Championships mostly went according to the rankings, but Holy Names cracks the top 25 after winning their division and then losing by just one point to #11 Cleveland.
  • State Championships results around the country have pretty much gone chalk, so there are no major changes this week.
