College Update 2026: Conferences Completed

Conferences wrapped up this past weekend, leaving just regionals -- and bids to Nationals -- on the horizon

Throughout the spring season, we’ll publishing a bite-sized weekly recap of the action across the college division. This will serve as a supplement to our standard tournament reporting and offer a high-level look at the latest happenings and the biggest stories of the week.

D-I Women’s

Conference Results

  • Georgetown Huckin’ Foyas captured the Colonial Conference title with a 13-8 victory in the final over Maryland Helpful Corn. The American Dirty Ladies also qualified for Regionals as they bested Maryland 9-2 in the second-place game. The game-to-go was a thrilling affair as George Washington GWI defeated Delaware Sideshow 7-6.
  • All six teams competing in the Metro Boston Conference qualified for Regionals. #6 Tufts EWO finished first with an undefeated showing, capped off by a 11-5 win over #16 Northeastern Valkyries in the championship game. Boston University Uprising, Boston College FLIX, Harvard Quasar, and MIT sMITe also competed at the event.

Last Week’s Developmental Conference Championship Results

  • While all three teams finished 1-1, North Carolina B Electra had the best point differential (1) to win the Atlantic Coast Dev Conference Championship, finishing ahead of South Carolina B Pyro (0) and the Georgetown B Biddin’ Foyas (-1).
  • Vermont B finished first with a commanding showing, scoring 45 goals and giving up three total to capture the New England Dev Conference title. They earned a bid to D-I Regionals and will be joined by the Northeastern B Valkyries, who rallied from an 0-3 pool play showing to win the game-to-go over Vermont C 9-6. Vermont C unfortunately lost both the final and the second-place game to miss out.
  • Two teams out of the eight-team field from the Southwest Dev Conference Championship qualified for D-I Regionals. Cal Poly-SLO B Motion avenged their pool play loss to UC San Diego B Berserk Coalition to beat them in the final 13-7. Rebounding from their loss, Berserk Coalition bested UC Davis B Rogue B 9-4 — who themselves made the second place game with a revenge win over Stanford B Firefly — in the game-to-go.

Looking Ahead

The first five Regionals take place next weekend. In alphabetical order, teams from the Metro East, North Central, South Central, Southeast and Southwest will punch their tickets to Nationals. Stay tuned to Ultiworld for our Regionals Mega-Previews, coming later this week!

 

D-I Men’s

Conference Results

  • #6 Cal Poly SLO SLOCORE capped an undefeated SoCal Conference showing win a 15-5 win over the UC San Diego Air Squids in the championship game. In pool play, SLOCORE scored 60 goals while giving up only 22. Along with those two teams, the others qualifying for Regionals were #18 UCLA Smaug, UC Santa Barbara Black Tide, UC Irvine Nightlife, San Diego State Federales, Southern California Lockdown, and the Loyola Marymount Lions, who defeated Cal Poly-Pomona Cow Ultimate 8-6 in the game-to-go. It was a tough end of the season for Cal Poly-Pomona, who lost the sixth-place game to Southern California before falling to Loyola Marymount.
  • The Maryland Space Bastards upset top seeded Georgetown Justice 15-9 in the final to claim the Colonial Conference Championship. Joining those two teams at Regionals will be Delaware Sideshow and Johns Hopkins Dangerzone, who beat American Stall 11 in the game-to-go 14-8.
  • Vermont B Chill Dev captured the New England Dev Conference Championship with a 15-3 win over top seeded UMass Amherst B in the final. UMass dropped to the second place game, where they were bested by Northeastern B Beastern 14-8 to earn second place. The fourth team joining those three teams at D-I Regionals will be Tufts B, who defeated Brown B PFunk 11-8 in the game-to-go.

Last Week’s Developmental Conference Championship Results

Last week, the Developmental Conference Championships took place. Updates for the Metro East and Southern Atlantic Coast Dev Conferences can be found in last week’s article. The other results include:

  • Delaware B Sideshow finished first at the Colonial Dev Conference Championship, defeating Maryland B Astro Quakers 11-6 in the final after falling to them in pool play 10-8. Taking second place in the conference was George Washington B, who defeated American B Revolution 15-1 in the second-place semis (game-to-go) before besting Maryland B 15-7 in the second-place final. Delaware B, American B, and Maryland B earned bids to Atlantic Coast Dev Regionals, the only Developmental regional event in the country in any division.
  • An undefeated weekend for Michigan B BagnUM earned them the Great Lakes Dev Conference crown, highlighted by an 8-6 victory over Illinois B Boomland in the final. Joining Illinois B at Great Lakes D-I Regionals with the final bid will be Michigan State B Riot Control, who defeated Chicago B Half-Life 10-9 in a tight game-to-go. Chicago B had beaten Michigan State B previously that weekend in pool play 13-8 but were unable to beat them a second time.
  • Minnesota B won convincingly 15-5 over Wisconsin B Fauxdogs to place first in the North Central Dev Conference and gave up just 13 goals in their other four games. The Fauxdogs bounced back with a 15-9 win over Minnesota C to take the second spot and qualify for D-I Regionals.
  • Pittsburgh B left no doubt, posting an undefeated weekend and a 75-15 point differential, highlighted by a 15-2 win over West Chester B in the final of the Ohio Valley Dev Conference Championship, to qualify for Ohio Valley D-I Regionals.
  • Cal Poly SLO B SLOB capped off an undefeated tournament with a 12-7 victory over UCLA B Smoke in the finals of the Southwest Dev Conference Championship. UCLA B also qualified for Southwest D-I Regionals after placing second with a 15-10 win over California B Ursa Minor.

Looking Ahead

Six of the 10 Regionals are scheduled for next weekend, including the Great Lakes, Metro East, North Central, South CentralSoutheast, and Southwest, in addition to Atlantic Coast Dev Men’s Regionals. Stay tuned to Ultiworld for our Regionals Mega-Previews, coming later this week!

 

D-III Women’s

Nationals Qualifiers

  • The #5 Davenport Panthers captured the lone bid from the Great Lakes Conference for the third straight year, finishing round robin play 3-0. They have won the conference every year since the program’s inception.

Looking Ahead

The final bids for Nationals will be handed out next weekend as the Metro East, New England, Ohio Valley, and Southeast are all scheduled. Stay tuned to Ultiworld for our Regionals Previews on these events, coming later this week!

 

D-III Men’s

Conference Results

  • The Skidmore Wombats pulled off the upset over top seeded #23 Wesleyan Nietzsch Factor in semis 9-8 before defeating Central Connecticut State Yetis 15-12 in the final to win the Hudson Valley Conference. Joining those three teams at Regionals will be Vassar Swinging Monks, Rensselaer Polytech Trudge, Connecticut College Deimos, Army West Point, the New Haven Chargers, and bottom seed Union (New York) Electric City Plastic, who avenged a pool play loss to the Fairfield Stags with a 15-4 win in the game-to-go.
  • The results for the Illinois Conference Championship were not available at time of publishing. The North Park Vikings, the Knox River Rats, and the Bradley Angry Otters were in contention for two bids.

Looking Ahead

Five Regional Championships take place next weekend, featuring the Metro East, North Central, Ohio ValleySouth Central, and Southeast, with the last Regionals occurring the following weekend. Stay tuned to Ultiworld for our Regionals Previews on these events, coming later this week!
