Of all of the changes to the Ultiworld home page, this is probably the most significant. The Editors’ Blog is a place for additional thoughts and context on the news in Ultimate from Ultiworld’s senior writers. Read more about it after the jump.
We run a lot of news stories on Ultiworld — and we often have opinions about them. But including those ideas in the news pieces themselves is usually awkward and out-of-place. So we wanted to create an area where we can expand on the news, draw connections between stories, and give more meaning to the most important stories facing Ultimate.
We’ve started to do that with our new radio show, Deep Look, but a running commentary is important as well. Hence, the Editors’ blog.
Posts here will tend to be shorter and much less developed than anything we publish as a major op-ed or analysis piece. It’s, well, a blog for us to hash out ideas and share what we’re thinking about the day’s news.
Good comments and emails will often make it into this space, as we hope to keep the conversation going.
