High School Power Rankings: Mid-May Edition [5/18/17], Presented By Spin Ultimate

This is the eighth edition of the 2017 High School Power Rankings, presented by Spin Ultimate! The rankings can be permanently found on our Youth Rankings page.

The 2017 High School National Invite field has been decided! See the team list here — early next week we will announce pools and schedules.

  • Mason debuts in the Top 25 after blowing out Holy Family Catholic to win Ohio States.
  • Radnor also jumps into the Top 25 after a strong showing at the Amherst Invite.
  • Grady flies up the Power Rankings after defeating Carolina Friends (and everyone else) at the South Regional. They are red hot as they approach the HSNI.
  • Westfield continues to look like one of the best teams in the country after winning the Amherst Invite.
  • East Chapel Hill and Paideia struggled a bit this weekend at “Southerns” and AI, respectively.

  • Franklin and Roosevelt both shoot up the Rankings after strong recent play in Seattle. Franklin is now the Washington’s top ranked team .
  • After a late start to the season, Four Rivers and Northampton are in the Top 25 thanks to strong league performance and a good showing at the Amherst Invite.
  • Amherst falls 11 spots after losing to Northampton and Four Rivers in league play.
  • Rainier Beach’s play edges them into the #25 slot in this week’s rankings.
