D-I Women’s Division Discussion
- UBC jump all the way up to #2 after winning Santa Barbara Invite in grand style.
- The committee could not decide what to do with the trio of Oregon, Colorado, and Carleton, who all beat each other. The result is an awkward compromise in the #3 – #5 spots that left nobody happy.
- A wild jellyfish has appeared in the top 10! Cal Poly SLO rocketed up the charts thanks to a brilliant weekend, both results- and eye-test-wise.
- Stanford vacated a top 10 spot, dropping six place to #13 thanks to an underwhelming weekend, particularly their season-opening 13-5 smackdown at the hands of Utah.
- Penn didn’t have many opportunities to bounce back from losses since they only ended up with four games on the weekend. They slide to #20.

D-I Men’s Division Discussion
- Cal Poly dropped a few spots thanks to their season-opening loss to BYU, but the rest of their SBI-winning weekend kept them firmly in the top 10.
- Speaking of BYU, our committee may have made a mistake leaving them off of the preseason list. They make their 2025 debut at #17 and could move up or down depending on this weekend’s Florida Warm Up results.
- Cal reached the final, but they don’t yet have the quality of win (or close loss) to move them up the list. They’ll get opportunities at Pres Day.
- UBC also make a 2025 debut after a strong opening set.
- Victoria plummeted down to #25, staying in only because a significant portion of their top end did not play. Utah and UC Santa Cruz, though, fall all the way out after disappointing weekends.

D-III Women’s Division Discussion
- Berry’s T-Town Throwdown win is a nice first outing for an SE team we’re hoping can give Union a run for the bid, but not enough to move the rankings needle.
