D-I Women’s Division Discussion
- No Top 25 teams were in action, so no changes this week. But clear your schedule for next week, as Presidents’ Day Invite and Queen City Tune Up should generate plenty of movement.

D-III Women’s Division Discussion
- Some of the division’s top teams took the field for the first time at DIII Grand Prix, with Carleton Eclipse clearing the field and retaining their spot atop the rankings.
- Whitman, Portland, Lewis & Clark, and Colorado College all walked away with wins against each other, but Whitman managed to separate from the pack by giving Eclipse their closest D-III contest.
- Lewis & Clark vault up the rankings with a win over Colorado College and nabbed the head-to-head win over the reigning champs, but the committee ultimately awarded Portland the higher rank, weighting a closer game against Whitman more than a last-game-of-the-tournament loss.
- Colorado College collected an impressive win over Whitman to end their tournament, but a winless day one with losses to L&C and Portland ultimately land them at the bottom of the D3GP quartet.
- Davenport falls to #11 due to inactivity, but will have a chance to prove us wrong this weekend at Commonwealth Cup Weekend 1. For similar reasons, Claremont’s 1-6 D3GP showing was enough to take Occidental’s place in the last Top 25 slot.
- The South Central battle is heating up, as Rice slot just ahead of Trinity thanks to a 9-7 win at Rice Antifreeze.

D-III Men’s Division Discussion
- DIII Grand Prix similarly switched up D-III men’s. Whitman’s lossless outing was spoiled by a resurgent Colorado College, causing the Sweets to fall four spots while Wasabi vault to #12. While Whitman collected the head-to-head win over Lewis & Clark, Bacchus were without star Max Zwerin, and retain their higher ranking with, in the ranking committee’s opinion, a more impressive performance.
- Likewise, Claremont slides out of the rankings to be replaced by Puget Sound despite the Braineaters’ straight-up win, with the Postmen’s first round win over Colorado Mines and closer games against common opponents express shipping UPS to #24.
- Carleton CHOP move into the Top 5 with an undefeated showing at Gopher Dome, taking down reigning champs St. Olaf and smacking Macalester to the tune of 13-3. The Berzerkers’ universe point loss to Flat Earth sees the champs slide to #15.
- Welcome to the rankings Lipscomb University! At Bulldog Brawl, #20 Missouri S&T beat #13 Berry in pool play, only for Lipscomb to handily clear Missouri S&T, only for the Bisons to then fall to Berry in the third-place game…whichever way you cut it, Lipscomb proved they belong in the conversation, and slot in above Miner Threat at #19.
