D-I Women’s Division Discussion
- UNC and UPenn both reached the final of Commonwealth Cup are the clear tops of the field at the tournament. UNC took the win 13-11, but none of the results create much upward motion.
- The most notable change was that Michigan fell from the top 25, going 2-5 at Commonwealth Cup, losing twice to Ohio State (oof) and to Georgia and regional rival Notre Dame. It is the first time since February 2024 that Flywheel has been unranked.

D-I Men’s Division Discussion
- Welcome a new #1! Colorado Mamabird earned the top spot winning Smoky Mountain Invite. It was likely whoever won the tournament would secure pole position, but Mamabird beating Carleton heads up is more than a clear indicator.
- SMI generated a lot of other big changes, but perhaps none more significant than the opposite turns from Georgia Tech’s opening upset over UMass. ZooDisc dropped from #4 to #11 after a difficult, albeit illness-and-injury-impacted, tournament. GT lost only a single game, a resurgent showing after a disappointing Florida Warm Up, pushing them into the top 15.
- For a while, it looked like Pittsburgh might steal the SMI spotlight after beating Oregon and UNC. Then they dropped back to back games to Brown and Michigan, which was MagnUM’s only win at the tournament. It balanced out to move Pitt up three spots to #10.

D-III Women’s Division Discussion
- A 3-0 Saturday preceded a Sunday run to semifinals and a consolation win over Macalester for St. Olaf Vortex, pushing them up to #8.
- A strange trio of results made it tough to evaluate Rochester, Williams, and Wellesley, who each beat one of the other. Rochester finished with the top record, but a 9-4 loss to Williams pulled them down to #9. Williams also dropped after a 9-4 Wellesley loss and a loss to Skidmore. Wellesley enters the rankings at #22 on the back of their win over Williams.
- Amherst and Winona State are two other new teams to the rankings. Winona State took St. Olaf to universe at Midwest Throwdown, while Amherst’s small roster didn’t prevent them from going 2-2 at UMadness, including giving top-ranked Wesleyan a first half scare.

D-III Men’s Division Discussion
- At the top of the standings, Lewis & Clark won Snow Melt, defeating a strong D-I team in Utah State. But the precipice of the division is cutthroat, and a loss to Colorado B leaves just another lingering doubt for them to move down a spot.
- Williams moves down six spots despite a 4-2 UMass Invite, with one 13-8 loss to Middlebury and a split series with UMass B. Is there a battle brewing between B teams and the People’s Division?
- Kenyon SERF joins the rankings after going 5-1 at Oak Creek Challenge, winning the tournament with a pair of wins over Duke, including in the final. Their lone loss came 9-8 against RIT.
