D-I Women’s Division Discussion
- Our reporters considered moving UCLA into the backend for their Presidents’ Day Qualifiers performance, but given their loss to the only Top 25 team at the event, the rankings remain unchanged this week.

D-I Men’s Division Discussion
- Florida Warm Up made D-I men’s the biggest mover and shaker of the week, with just five teams retaining their rankings.
- Among the big winners, CUT and BYU jump to the top four after undefeated showings, with CUT taking home gold. Though they weren’t in attendance, SLO’s loss to BYU at SBI looks that much better, as SLOCORE round out the top five.
- Texas enters the top 10 for a FWU semis berths, as does Georgia for being the strongest of the vanquished quarterfinalists.
- Though both made the bracket, Pittsburgh and Vermont find themselves the rankings losers of Warm Up. In addition to Chill’s opening loss to unranked Tulane, both teams dropped to a faceoff for seventh, En Sabah Nur walking away with the universe point win.
- Wisconsin and South Carolina both enter the backend of the Top 25, the Hodags for kicking Minnesota out of the ninth-place FWU bracket and the rankings, while South Carolina played their way to the final of Carolina Kickoff.
- Speaking of Carolina…For the first time since our end-of-season rankings in 2016, North Carolina is not in the top five of our Power Rankings. The culprit? A universe point loss to #13 Georgia Tech in quarters of Darkside’s home tournament, Carolina Kickoff, that saw the three-time champs fall to fifth place. The Grossberg effect is real, and Tech vault to #13.

- We got our first taste of D-III-on-D-III action at Stanford Open, as Carleton took down Portland in quarters. It wasn’t enough to budge the rankings though. Expect our first changes of the season after DIII Grand Prix this weekend!

D-III Men’s Division Discussion
- To the early teams go the rankings, and CHOP and Elon each move up two spots for scoring wins against D-I teams at Carolina Kickoff.
- Rather than on-field, OC’s off-field losses are what drop them in the rankings this week, as word reached our staff that Luke Norby and Nathan Hunt are no longer with the team.
