D-I Men’s Division Discussion
- Wisconsin swept through the Easterns Qualifier competition, earning a spot among the prestigious Easterns field with an undefeated outing against unranked competition. They settle just behind UNC-Wilmington, whose two-goal loss to UNC at Queen City gives the Seamen the edge.
- Ottawa gave the Hodags the most trouble at EQ, playing them to 15-12 in the final. The claim the final rankings spot for their efforts, bumping out a Stanford team that will have a chance to play their way back in at Stanford Invite.

D-III Women’s Division Discussion
- Strong tournaments from Trinity at Mardi Gras XXXVIII and Union at The Only Tenn I See pushed both teams through to the semifinal round, where they lost close to D-I opponents. With limited connectivity at this point in the season it’s difficult to know how things will shake out, but for now they move above a so-far inactive Michigan Tech side.
- Welcome to the rankings Cedarville Queen Bee! The OV squad also made the semifinals, this time at Commonwealth Cup Weekend 1. Cedarville claimed third with a one-point win over Virginia Tech, moving them ahead an Occidental team whose best win of the season is over San Diego State.

D-III Men’s Division Discussion
- The second iteration of the D-III River City Showdown was the big event on tap this past weekend, with Franciscan sweeping through the field. Their highest-ranked win was over Richmond in the final, which isn’t enough to move Fatal’s needle but ticks the Spidermonkeys up a spot.
- UNC Asheville Mudpuppy were the breakout team from RCS, flashing strong defense to muscle their way to a third place finish with wins over Rochester and Berry. While the two did not meet, Richmond’s tighter scoreline against Franciscan keeps the Mudpuppies from greater heights.
- Berry’s .500 weekend included a win over Oberlin and universe point losses to Richmond and UNC Asheville, enough for a two spot bump.
- Wesleyan and Rochester had to bow out of RCS early due to winter storm warnings along the East Coast, but stuck around long enough to take upset losses to Oberlin and UNC Asheville, respectively.
- Oberlin and Portland enter the rankings this week, with Oberlin’s win over ranked Wesleyan displacing a Davidson squad that could not muster the same. Portland meanwhile took down PLU Men’s BBQ, beating D-I’s Oregon State B 15-12 in the final.
